I met Jaime online on Facebook partly through Michelle Austin and her dad.
Then our Ashy was born and Jaime was a single mom so. And in the beginning I often sent children's clothes and gifts by mail and so I was made an aunt.
Ashy and Jaime have a special place in my heart. Ashlyn was the first child to call me auntie. That was a nice feeling. Finally I had a family and that felt good. (I am adopted) Jaime sent me photos, a craft and of course I showed Ashy her photos to my friends. I was and still am that proud of her.
Hope you are doing well up there in heaven Jaime, no more pain and suffering.
I'm going to miss you girl, it's a shame we never met in real life. But we'll definitely see each other in the next one.

I only knew Jaime since she moved back to Iowa in August. After reading her obituary I realized I missed out on knowing a lovely person. Her love of life, friends, family and especially Ashlyn will always keep her fresh in our memory. Rest in peace, Jaime.

My Sweet Friend/Sister
I will forever hold you close to my heart. You were such a blessing to Shayne and I, Esp when we were going through Brocks journey. We never had a dull moment when you were around and I will forever cherish those moments and talks we had. I will always remember that laugh of yours and the way you would say (Amye) when I would say something that embarrassed you. Our last funny memory is when we loaded the Nissan in Aug to send you to Iowa for good. Shayne was trying to get everything in you wanted, Then came those wood hangers. You were determined they were going and Shayne just didn’t understand what it was about these hangers, lol.. You to going at it was priceless, But at the end you won and got those dang hangers in the car..

Jaime and I shared many memories together. We met when are kids were in preschool and became fast friends. Jaime was so strong and fun. We shared holidays together, crafted and just hung out. I am so sad that Jaime is gone. My heart aches for Ashlyn and all of her family. Jaime was one in a million, she loved her family big!! We met through Facebook, but when I made a trip to San Antonio you were one of the first who agreed to meet up with me. It was such a pleasure getting to connect with you and Ashlyn that day.
You made me an honorary aunt to Ashlyn always refdering to me as "Aunt Christina." I thank you for that. You did such an amazing job raising her. My thoughts and prayers go to her and your family.
We talked about going to the Christmas Story House in Cleveland after I went early this year. It would have been a good time, I would have love to shared that experience with you.

To the family and friends of Jaime
I remember when Becky was pregnant and she was thinking of names for her baby girl and she said Jaime and asked what I thought about the names I loved Jaime but said you should spell it different so she is unique and that she was ! From that little girl to the woman she was when she passed away she always was one of a kind and kind in heart and her giving.
Ashlyn I hope you never forget how much your momma loved you, how she would brag about you and that you were always her sunshine and maybe a little pain once in a while, LOL but honestly her love for you was always there.
She had a huge heart for all of her family and one that I wish would have stayed around for a lot longer.
My deepest sympathies to all that loved her
My prayers are that you find a peace in your heart and know she is always with you.

I have known Jaime since elementary school. She was one of a kind. She was so funny. We used to dance in her room and believe me that girl could dance. She was an awesome friend that I could count on to be there when I needed someone to talk to or cry with or just laugh with. I still remember her riding her horse to my house and crawling underneath the horse and sliding off the back of the horse to show me how tame her horse was. She always wanted to be a mom. We would talk about it all the time. Ashlyn was a blessing to her and she was so happy being her mom. I still can’t believe she is gone. I will miss her telling me Happy Birthday every year and just knowing she was right down the road from me whenever we wanted to see each other. I pray that the Lord comforts you Becky, Dan, Ashlyn and Christi and that you know that she loved you all very much. ❤️ The other Jamie

James, This is still hard for me to believe/accept. You just got to Sanborn & I never even got to see your new house. We never got to have a play date w/our dogs, nothing. I think I knew Jaime from the time I was born. I don't have many summer Iowa memories without her, her sister and their Grandma's trampoline in them. We all grew up, moved away, had babies but we always kept in touch. Jaime was kind and funny, sassy and sweet and the best Mom to her pride and joy, Ashlyn. She had the world's greatest laugh. I'm going to miss that laugh...that mischievous little giggle that told you she was up to something. It was trademark Jaime and centuries from now they'll never be another one like her.

I put a post out on Facebook asking for kids to come model for me for my photography business. You answered and brought me the cutest model ever. I believe Ashlyn was three when I started taking her picture. After that, anytime I needed a model, I’d call you. We always had such a great time and laughed at little miss and her sassy little attitude. I always say my clients become my family, and I’m so lucky God brought us together. You are one of the most precious people I have met in my life. I will keep Ashlyn in my prayers cause I know she will miss you so much. You did such a great job as mother and friend. Jaime Sue. We’re all so mad that you left us, but are relieved you’re pain free. Grandma, mom & I were talking about how many Knick knacks we have in our houses from you. You were the best gift giver and always made us feel special. You were always there for us to vent to and have a laugh with. We truly don’t know how we’ll get through this, but we will. I’m going to make sure I’m there for Ashlyn, just like you were there for me. “It will be okay” even though the pain feels overwhelming right now. I’ll miss you every single day of my life. I’ll love you forever. The best and most caring Auntie anyone could ever ask for. I’ve also had so many people reach out telling me how great of a friend you were - always checking in and willing to listen. You were and are so loved. Stay warm and drive fast, where ever you are.
