Arlyn, Darwin and Dan, I was shocked to hear of the death of your mom. I did not know of this until after her memorial service. She and I worked together for almost 25 years in the school kitchen. I loved her a lot and she was such an encouragement to many. We always teased her when we asked, "Do you know....." She'd say "yes, he's my cousin." we always told her she must be related to everyone in town here. I missed not working with her when she retired. She was a great lady.

We will miss your Mom. We always enjoyed visiting with her whenever we were in town. The last time we saw her, she was enjoying life and looking forward to her card parties. She always wanted to hear about the kids and we could always count on hearing about her boys and their families. Arlys and Mick will always have a special place in our hearts for the letters and help they did for us when we were trying to adopt our children. Aryln, Darwin and Daniel~. My heart is so heavy hearing of your mother's death. I was going to visit her in Hartley this weekend when I learned I was too late. Please accept my condolences as I just buried the love of my life and, can not attend. She and your father were like a brother and sister I never had. We had so many great memories of them both. So many laughs, so many camping days and so many things we were always involved with. Playing 500 in earlier days and mom is laughing as dad took it so seriously. She was always laughing. I'd call to check on her in the apartment and, we could never have a conversation as she'd be playing cards. What do I have to do~call you at midnight or 7:00 in the morning? She'd just laugh. She was always there for me and I miss hearing her voice. So many many memories which I will treasure the rest of my life. Peace be with her as she travels the journey home now to be with dad. Maybe she'll see Ray on the way, laugh and say "Hi". Love to you all and you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so very so sorry for the lose you your mom. I can't put in to words the love I felt for her. I so very much wish we could be there, but Duane is to be in Souix Falls that day at 6:45 am for testing. I have nothing but the best memories of the time on the farm to every time we visited. Thank you so much Arlen when you brought your mom to the Milford Park to see us a couple of years ago. We all just loved her so much. How can I put in to words the love we felt for Arlys. The memories I have from on the farm visit's to the visit Duane had when he passed by and had coffee with her. Always Always enjoyed being a round her. We love her so much, my parents dated with Mick and Arlys when they were young, and Mick sang at our wedding they have touched our world more then any words I could fill this page. Our deepest sympathy to each and every one of you. We are unable to make it because of testing Duane has to go though on Tues at Souix Falls. With our arms around you, hugs to you all.
