Obituary of Jerry Allen Guetschow
Jerry Allen Guetschow, 85, of Sanborn, Iowa, died at his home on Thursday, April 11, 2024, following a lengthy illness.
The sixth and youngest child of Lawrence and Laura (Lake) Guetschow, Jerry was born on a farm northwest of Gaza, Iowa on November 30, 1938. He graduated from Melvin High School in 1957 and served his country with the United States Air Force.
In April of 1959, he was united in marriage to Evelyn Juber at Melvin, Iowa. They had made their home in Kansas City, Missouri before moving back to this area in 2015, settling in Sanborn. Evelyn passed away here in 2016.
Jerry is survived by one sister, Marion Dvorak of Melvin, Iowa; many nieces, nephews and good friends.
Jerry’s family would like to extend a sincere “thank you”

into the Sanborn community a short ten years ago.
We truly appreciate the kind expressions of sympathy at this time of loss,
even as we all rejoice with him…he is home.
