I could not believe when I opened this today. Terry was one of my best friends in grade school, our third baseman. We attended Doug Boer's funeral together in 1978 along with his cousin Arlin Elgersma, and I got to spend some time with him a few times before I moved away from Iowa permanently in the late 1980's. Too bad we let 35 years get away. Time moves so swiftly. So many of us gone from that class of 1968 of Sanborn Christian; Doug Boer, Ronald Meerdink, Pam Horstman, and I'm sure others as well. The smallest class reduced by so many. Thank you for being my friend and making me laugh, Terry. You were a tough competitor when we'd often times fight (wrestle) in the schoolyard at recess. Man oh man I was shocked to see Tiny had passed, us guys from Little Rock had to help Joe's from Sanborn quite often, that was the first time I met Tiny, you couldn't have asked for a more pleasant guy, always ready to explain things to me. like where we were going and etc. In fact he and me went to a few races in Rock Rapids we had lots of good times before and after the race!! I'll miss you Tiny! Gary

I was so sad to hear Tiny passed away, I go back a long way with Tiny, us guys from Little Rock used to help[ Joe's ready mix, first time I met Tiny, what a kind gentle man, he would always give us guys help in telling us where to go. Me and Tiny had a lot of good laughs back in the day!! He and I also went to a lot of races at rapid speedway.
