She had one of the sweetest souls I've ever encountered! Anytime you asked her how she was doing her reply was always, "Doing the best I can with what I've got!" Never saw her without a smile on her face and it would brighten the day of everyone she came across! I will miss her deeply.

I WILL MISS WINNIE.SHE CALLED EVERY NIGHT AT 7:15 ON THE DOT.TOLD ABOUT HER DAY,LIKE 10 LAPS FROM living room to the laundry room in the morning and same in the afternoon.Always happy Tuesday or whatever day it was. She was sharp.Glad I could help her with her appointment s etc.she was like my 2ND mom.terrific person.

Years ago Winnie gained the nickname "Pooh" from me. She never ever forgot it. I could always count on a getting a Birthday Card from Winnie. Winnie was a Great Asset to the Community and St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She will be greatly missed. My Sympathy to Winnie's Family

Winnie was a regular call at 7:30 every night to share her day and ask about ours. Her favorite saying was “I’m doing the best I can with what I’ve got”. She loved her sweets and was always cheery. She was a true Christian lady who never had an unkind word. We will miss her friendship. Rollie & Mary Lou Lenz

Winnie and I had our birthdays back to back, so we were sure to wish each other Happy Birthday! When she would take a walk on the "nicer" days, she'd walk past our house and salute our flag. The flag had great meaning to her. We will miss seeing her this summer! She was a sweet, caring, Christian lady.

This picture was taken the day before Winnie’s 100 birthday when we came to visit her. We were very close friends of her son Shawn. He lived his final years in Brandon SD and my husband and I got very close to him during those years. After his passing we kept in touch with Elmer and Winnie by phone calls and a few visits a year. We enjoyed our time with Winnie so much listening to her stories of her younger years. Her positive attitude was inspirational. Every time we talked I would ask her how she was. Her response was “I am doing the best I can with what I got.” That is what I will always remind with I think of this very special lady. Rest in peace, Winnie. Give Shawn a hug from Larry and Linda.
