Our kids (as babies) brought us together and we have been friends ever since. We enjoyed so many New Years Eves together (we filled the bathtub in 1999), kid birthday parties, a few injuries (an arm swirling in the breeze), and so many other events. Never was there a time we didn’t laugh until we cried…right up to the very end. We will miss you dearly! Scott and Gale

Sympathy to the Vander Woude and Jeppsen families on the loss of Kari. She had a infectious smile and laugh. Wonderful person full of life and a heart of gold. I was fortunate to have been welcomed into the Jeppsen family in the early 80's when I lived in Sanborn. We shared lots of laughs, lots of blueberry muffins and of course starburst candy. Great memories I will forever hold dear. Hugs to all. Rest in peace Kari.

To all of Kari's family my heartfelt condolences. My family was lucky enough to live across from the Jeppesens in the 1980s and we became one big family. Kari's personality was larger than life and her zest for life contagious. I will cherish the memories we made and smile as I think of them. She will be so missed.

I remember Kari when we were both students at Iowa Lakes Community College in Estherville. She had the prettiest smile and the best contagious laugh! What a beautiful soul gone too soon. My condolences to Kari's family.

Kari and I had met 20 years ago when I was hired to work at the Pilot Tribune, from that time on our conversations were many, our laughs were many more. It didn't matter how much time had passed since our last chat; we picked up right where we had left off. Kari was kind, compassionate and so proud of her family, we discussed them often. My heart breaks that we cannot longer enjoy our conversations and giggles, my faith soothes my soul knowing that Kari has been resolved of all of her physical ailments and is among those that have gone before to be with the Lord. Our deepest sympathies to all that loved Kari, continued prayers for comfort!

I am heartbroken to hear of Kari's passing. I worked with her at The Daily Reporter in Spencer for 5+ years. She was one that could make you laugh and make your day brighter. After I left there I didn't run into her very much and missed her humor and silliness ! May she rest in peace And may God give all of you that loved her peace in your hearts.
