Obituary of Todd Russell Raymond

    Todd Russell Raymond, was born at Sheldon, Iowa on July 17, 1952 to Jay Russell and Dorris Cecilia (Wright) Raymond. Along with his four siblings, he spent his early years in the Sanborn area, helping his father on the Raymond family farm. He received his education at Sanborn Community School, graduating with the class of 1970.

    Following high school, Todd was employed as a construction worker, spending the next several years in Atlanta, Georgia and Florida. Around 1998, he moved back to Iowa and was involved with many different building projects throughout the Lakes region with Brown’s Construction out of Sioux City, Iowa.

    His job took up most of his time, but when he wanted to unwind, Todd enjoyed a round or two of golf, or doing some quiet off-shore fishing. During the colder months, he liked to bowl. One of his major interests was history…anything from genealogy to world history.

    Todd passed from this life on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at the age of 66 years.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Jay and Dorris Raymond; his grandparents; and several aunts and uncles.

    Todd is survived by his brothers and sister: Ace and his wife, Pat Raymond of Chaska, Minnesota, Roccy and his wife, Diann Raymond of Birchwood, Wisconsin, Rex and his wife, Deb Raymond of Sanborn, Iowa, and Anne and her husband, Steve Jaycox of Waseca, Minnesota; many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; one aunt, Harriett Warnke of Fort Dodge, Iowa; other relatives and friends.
