Curt, Doris, Marsha and families, you have our deepest sympathy in the loss of your mother. Grace was a very special lady full of love and compassion for anyone around. She was a favorite teacher of many -- including myself. Her love of God, family and teaching was very evident in her daily life. The tribute you made was beautiful and shows the deep love she had for you all. Whether you saw her a day ago or a year ago you could always pick up a conversation with her and it usually had laughter in it. Such a great lady! Now she is celebrating in heaven with her Lord and many loved ones who were waiting for her! May you as a family experience God's peace and love in the coming days ahead.

All my memories of school began with Mrs. Hartog. It was always such a blessing for me to still see her when I visited Prairie View. She blessed many a child as a teacher, mother, grandma, great-grandma.

Dear Marcia, Doris, Curt and your families, We have such fond memories of Grace with all the fishing trips etc. They did with our parents, Harry & Stella Bosma. It seems like life in Sanborn always had Grace Hartog in it. I will miss knowing Grace is still there. How do we say Goodbye to someone who was such a constant in your life. You Do Not say Goodbye, You Do Say " Go With God".
Your tribute movie was so touching. I really enjoyed seeing her as a young woman. It is obvious in all your photos how she lived for her family as a dedicated Christian Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma. You all did such a wonderful way of caring for your Mom after Cornie was gone. He would be so pleased with it.
We offer you our love and prayers as you grieve your loss. Such a Godly woman; we know she will be "By The Sea of Crystal where Saints in Glory stand." She is reunited with her loving son Ron and her husband as well, along with all those gone before her. RIP Grace, we loved you as a "Dear" family friend for many years. You will be missed by scores of people. We were honored to have you in our lives. Love In Christ,
Vern and Sharlene Bosma Anema

Dear Family of Grace and Cornie!
My sympathy to you as you grieve and celebrate the life of Grace. As you know, I visited in the home of Grace and Cornie many times. There are no more gracious, kind, and generous people that Grace and Cornie. So I know all about how Grace baked and brought to the elevator the food for the employees morning coffee break.
Of course, we talked a lot about her days at Western Christian. She and Cornie took part in many activities and celebrations at Western.
The angels in heaven are celebrating her home going I am sure. May God give all of you comfort and gratitude for the lives of Grace and Cornie. We thank God for the heritage that they left for their families and all of us. Marion Van Soelen, former principal and development director of Western Christian High School

Never was a lady more aptly named. She was a blessing to countless friends and neighbors during the course of her many years -- including my family. What a spirit of generosity and kindness she displayed! And what a great example for all of us who seek to live lives which honor God. Prayers for the family in these days of sorrow (though you know she is now where she longed to be) and for her many, many friends who will feel her loss deeply as well.
