Mark was so funny and fun to work with. He even let me give him a really short hair cut at work! I guess he was desperate....While my heart is saddened at his passing, I know his spirit lives on in all who had the blessing of knowing and working with him.

Mark was one of a kind, I had the pleasure of working with him at Select Specialty Hospital he taught all of us so much, our Select Family has a piece missing. I'm so proud to call him friend, he was there when I had questions or didn't understand. I know we don't have the answers we all seek, but we know you are at peace and we will celebrate the wonderful Nurse, Friend and Co-worker you were. I have had the pleasure of working with Mark for the last couple of years. It was truly and pleasure to work with him. He genuinely loved patient care and it showed in the tender way he always took care of his patients. He was always ready to help any of us any way or anytime he could. You could always count on Mark. His patients adored him.
Recently he should us all a picture of the two people he was most proud of -his two children. He just smiled ear to ear as he showed us a son who is the spitting image of him and a beautiful daughter who had just graduated High School. He truly loved you-he carried a notebook around the first year he was here with several pictures of 2 blonde haired children and himself with hair-which he had cut off pretty short at the time!
Mark will be truly missed by all of us here at Select. There is a large void that no one will ever be able to fill.

I am late sending condolences & I do apologize. I just wanted to say that Mark was one of the most beautiful souls I knew. I only knew Mark from Jan until we left Select Specialty Hospital in mid March. Mark was my brother's nurse & we requested him to be Bubby's nurse all throughout his stay. You see, Bubby had Down's. He hated change, had to keep routine, & didn't warm up to just anyone. I just wanted to tell you all, while Mark took care of Bubby, I saw two of the most beautiful souls in my life create a bond that I will always cherish getting to witness. Bubby truly missed Mark when we came home. It tickled Bubby to death when I would tell him that Mark messaged me on FB to ask how he was doing. You see, I learned of Mark's passing the day my brother passed. This is why I am late sending condolences. I apologize for this being so long, but I felt I needed to share with you what a truly beautiful soul he was. To Mark, Bubby was someone, not just another patient.
Our thoughts & prayers are with you all as you mourn the loss of this beautiful person who was one in a million.

No words will ease the pain or make it any better. Mark, was a wonderful person, co worker, nurse and most of all one of my very best friends. We started Select Specialty together and never worked much with out the other one. He was always there to lend a hand, ear, a shoulder, or whatever else I may have needed in this short time that I knew him. I will miss him dearly but he taught me to always laugh thru the pain, dance in the rain, and push forward even when I did not want to. I had the pleasure of working with Mark for the past 2 and 1/2 years. He was an awesome nurse and co-worker. He was always complimented by our patients and their families for the exemplary care he gave and was actually our most complimented nurse for his care. He was always upbeat and positive and was a valued member of our team. He always went above and beyond in every way. The staff at Select loved Mark and he will be truly missed.
