Obituary of Rebecca Enger

Memorial Tribute Rebecca “Becki” Lou Enger, daughter of Robert J. Alborn and Susan M. (Richards) Sedore, was born at Pocahontas, IA on July 27, 1970. She spent her youth in the Paullina, IA area where she attended school and graduated with the class of 1988. The following year, she continued her education at Western Iowa Tech in Sioux City, IA. Becki was united in marriage to Corey Hurtig on April 9, 1989 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. They made their home in Paullina, along with their two sons, Derek and Justin. On August 17, 2012, Becki married Keith Enger of Sanborn, IA. She was employed by the City of Sanborn for six years as the City Clerk. Becki spent her life full of love for her family and friends. Whether she was slinging Seinfeld quotes at you or making you feel like the most important person in the world at that moment, she did it all with a smile. Some of Becki’s favorite things to do were taking in a good comedy, gardening, hanging out with Bob and Suzi on another adventure, having her boys over and cooking their favorite meal, when she was still able. But most of all her favorite place to be was with Keith. She was dealt a rough hand with failing health issues the last three years of her life, but she handled it with dignity and grace with the help of her loving husband, Keith, her boys and family and friends. Becki died on Friday, November 11, 2016 at the age of 46. Preceding her in death were her stepfather, Fred Sedore; and her stepmother, Diane Alborn. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Keith of Sanborn, IA; sons: Derek (Sara) of Paullina, IA and Justin of Paullina, IA; stepchildren: Travis Enger of Sanborn, IA and Kailey Enger of Hartley, IA; three grandchildren: Jaiden, Huxley, and Kaine; her mother, Susan Sedore of Sanborn, IA; her father, Bob Alborn of Ida Grove, IA; two sisters: Tami (Glen) Scholten of Hull, IA, and Bobbi (Kevin) Massmann of Paullina, IA; many good neighbors, relatives and friends.
