Obituary of Jeanne Schaa
Please share a memory of Jeanne to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Jeanne Lou (Leth) Schaa, the daughter of Herbert and Fern (Wagner) Leth was born on June 15, 1951 in Hartley, IA. She attended the Hartley Public Schools and graduated from the Hartley High School in 1969. Jeanne went on to attend the Spencer School of Business.
On August 4, 1972 Jeanne was united in marriage to her best friend, Wayne Schaa. To this union two sons were born, Chad and Darren. Her 38- year banking career in Hartley started with Security State Bank and ended with the United Community Bank, where she greeted every customer with a smile. Jeanne lived her entire lifetime in the Hartley area. Taken too early, she passed away on December 3, 2014 in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 63.
Jeanne was an absolutely AMAZING woman with a kind heart. She did everything to be the best wife, mom and grandma she could be… and she nailed it. Her love for her family, and mostly her grandkids, is what will be remembered most. Other special memories include the every-year November Branson trips, weekend visits to the casinos, watching grandkids sporting events or doing some shopping, including a little QVC. Her family is now forever blessed to have the memories, and an angel watching over them.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Wayne Schaa; two treasured sons she was very proud of: Chad Schaa and his wife, Jolene, of Council Bluffs, IA, and Darren Schaa and his fiancé, Rachael Enger of Hartley, IA; three grandkids, her pride and joy, Cailey, Carson and Cooper of Council Bluffs, IA, as well as other loved relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister, Carol Jean.
