Obituary of Russell Kleve

Russell Carl Kleve was born January 2, 1942 at Sanborn, Iowa to Carl and Helen (Benner) Kleve. He spent his youth in the Sanborn area, graduating from Sanborn Community High School in 1960. Russell served his country in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968, stationed in Germany. After his honorable discharge, Russell furthered his education at Minneapolis, MN, completing a two-year course in Computer Programming. He continued to live in Minneapolis where he was employed by Super Valu as a computer programmer. Upon his retirement in 2005, he relocated back to Sanborn where he was living at the time of his death. He passed from this life on October 31, 2014 at the age of 72. Russell enjoyed his retirement years by having a good game of cards, playing golf, or just getting the morning started out right over a hot cup of coffee with the guys. He was a member of the 10-20 Club and St. John's Lutheran Church in Sanborn. He is survived by his brother, Lynn Kleve and his wife, Sandra of Sanborn; his nephews: Brian Kleve and his daughter, Carolyn Kleve, both of Sanborn, and Brett Kleve, and his wife, Ann and children of Des Moines, IA; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Karlene Bremer in 2013.
