Dear Family and friends of Dennis, I was a math teacher while Dennis was at Mt. Vernon teaching music. I remember him as a great gentleman and a true friend. Loved that Denny, we were neighbors for years in Sanborn, & he also was my teacher!! He was great at both!! Town of Sanborn will truly miss him & all he did!! My thoughts & prayers are with the family.

Sending sympathies to all of Denny's family and friends. He was a great teacher to those of us who had the privilege of being in his classes. He was also a wonderful member of the community of Sanborn. We had the pleasure of serving on the Sanborn All School Reunion and Preservation Society committees with him. We will miss his smile and jokes. We will miss our friend.

For over 20 years Denny was our family Christmas card photographer along with taking pictures for Bill's & my wedding. Didn't matter if there was snow on the ground we all knew that Christmas pictures had to be taken every yr. The one that really comes to mind is the year there was so-o-o much snow that all of us including the dog, Bailey, with ALL THE EQUIPMENT climbed up in the haywouw and SMILE. After we would take pictures we would enjoy a meal and afternoon or evening of cards & visiting. We have such wonderful memories & fond thoughts of Denny-he will be truly missed. Denny was so much more than a teacher to us. We was a family friend to each of our families. He was a role model to us when we were younger and a friend when we got older. He will be missed.

The world has lost an incredible teacher and no one will ever be as good as he was. He was my favorite teacher throughtout school. I still remember some of the sayings, lessons and jokes he told in class. He will be greatly missed!!!! Heaven does not realize how lucky they are to have him. He inspired everyone to do their best in English, in other classes and in life.
