Obituary of Scott Griese

Scott Allen Griese was born on April 16, 1962 in Hartley, IA the son of Ervin and Clara (Senn) Griese. He spent his school years living in the Melvin area and graduated from Hartley High School in 1981. Following graduation Scott worked for various farmers and the farming industry for many years. Most recently he worked for Hartog Elevator, Inc. of Sanborn, IA as their shop mechanic. Scott was a member of the Melvin United Methodist Church where he taught Sunday school for many years. He loved playing cards, golfing, fishing, bowling and riding his motorcycle whenever the weather permitted. Scott was an avid bowler. For over 20years he bowled on several leagues and tournaments. He was a sponsor of the Junior League of Bowlers in Sanborn, IA. Scott enjoyed the NHRA and watching his favorite NASCAR driver Jimmy Johnson. His favorite football team was the Chicago Bears. Scott is survived by two brothers: Lyle Griese and his wife, Lucille, of Highlands, TX and Lynn Griese and his wife, Susanna, of Hartley, IA; two sisters: Carol Jensen and her husband, Keith, of Blue Eye, MO and Marilyn Grunow and her husband, Ken, of Pittsburg, MO; two sisters-in-law: Janie Griese of Cape Fair, MO and Shirley Griese of Jonesboro, AR; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and two brothers: Raymond Griese and Larry Griese.
