Obituary of Ervin Wolfswinkel

Ervin John Wolfswinkel, the son of John and Geraldine (Vander Schaaf) Wolfswinkel, was born on November 21, 1932, in Hills, MN. The earliest years of his education were spent in an area country school, and he graduated from Boyden-Hull High School.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from December 4, 1951 through December 2, 1955. He was united in marriage to his lovely bride, Lois Feenstra, on June 7, 1956. They made their home in Sibley, IA. To this union came the blessing of three sons and five daughters. Throughout their married life, Ervin and Lois lived in Iowa, Minnesota and Colorado—owning and operating various businesses.
After their family was raised, Ervin enjoyed spending time visiting the children and grandchildren, singing in the choir, and golfing. He passed away suddenly at his home in Sanborn on Saturday, October 29, 2011, at the age of 78.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Geraldine Wolfswinkel, a sister, Joan Wolfswinkel and brother-in-law, John Tebben.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Lois; his children and their families: Terryl (Vicki) Wolfswinkel of West Des Moines, IA, Linda (Rodney) Van Beek of Hartley, IA, Brian (Myra) Wolfswinkel of Sanborn, Jerry (Monica) Wolfswinkel of Wiggens, CO, Lori Vander Broek of Urbandale, IA, Shari (Dennis) Vander Veen of Worthington, MN, Bonnie (Dean ) Lee of Elizabeth, CO, and Brenda Wolfswinkel (Benjamin Goff) of Bucyrus, OH; 25 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert (Marlys) Wolfswinkel of Sibley, IA, and Willis (Jan) Wolfswinkel of Amboy, MN; one sister, Mildred Tebben of Raymond, MN; other relatives and friends.
