Obituary of Helen Albert

Helen Anne (Erikson) Albert, the daughter of Sylas and Grace (Adams) Erikson, was born on June 10, 1932 at Spencer, Iowa. She attended Spencer public school and graduated from Spencer High School in 1950. Helen was married to Dale Albert on September 3, 1950, at the home of Willis and Helen Vander Woude in Sanborn, Iowa. They were blessed with two children: Randy and Patsy. Helen and Dale had their first apartment in Sanborn. When Dale entered the Army in the spring, Helen moved to Laurel, Maryland, that fall to be near him. In 1953, he returned from his deployment in Germany, they returned to Iowa and lived on the Albert family farm between Hartley and Sanborn. They moved into a home in Sanborn in 1978. Helen worked at a bank in Washington, D.C., the Sanborn Savings Bank and part-time for the Northern Iowa Telephone Company for a few years. Survivors include her husband, Dale, her children and their families: Randy and Robin (Wagner) of Spencer, Iowa, and Patsy and Michael Schrant of Bellevue, Nebraska, and her grandchildren, Traci (Albert) and Dan Genson and great grand-daughter, Kahlie, of Honolulu, Hawaii, Christopher Albert of Iowa City, Iowa, and Douglas Albert of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, brother Herb Erikson of Port Richey, Florida, sister-in-law Maxine Erikson of Hammond, Indiana; and half-brother Ted Erickson. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Bob. In Remembrance of Helen A.
